his manufacturing facility was one of the numerous industrial facilities built in Cape Breton during the late 1980's. Trifos Design Consultants supplied full design and construction- administration services for this 81,900 square-foot, manufacturing facility -- Cape Breton Wallcoverings. This facility incorporated state-of-the-art, calendered, vinyl-wallcovering manufacturing equipment and system procedures in a pre-manufactured, Butler-System structure. The design of the facility incorporated manufacturing and assembly areas, combustion-relief mixing zone, product storage facilities, shipping facilities, a docking area, administrative offices, and employee spaces (locker rooms, lunchroom, etc.). A user questionnaire was devised, circulated, analyzed, and employed in the initial design to ensure it's functionality, and the accommodation of the Client's specific requirements.
