Spyro Trifos is a native of Sydney, Nova Scotia. Mr. Trifos received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from McGill University in 1982. As a student, Mr. Trifos was one of the founding editors of the architectural journal, "The Fifth Column." Upon graduation, Mr. Trifos immediately accepted a position with Arcop Associates of Montreal, Quebec, working on both Middle Eastern and Canadian building projects.

In 1985, Mr. Trifos relocated to Sydney, Nova Scotia, and worked as an independent contract/design consultant for various retail, commercial, and professional clients, under the company title of Triarch Design Consultants.

In 1986, Mr. Trifos established the architectural firm of Trifos Design Consultants, providing individualized, comprehensive, client service. Since the firm's inception, Mr. Trifos has been responsible for its progressive growth and development. The firm has achieved recognition for distinctive, dynamic designs, that incorporate a thorough understanding of the business of building and property development.

Mr. Trifos is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Nova Scotia Association of Architects. He is also a member of ICOMOS Canada (International Council on Monuments and Sites), and the Architectural Woodwork Institute. Mr. Trifos actively maintains a high level of participation in local community affairs, some of which are as follows:

Mr. Trifos, as Principal Architect of Trifos Design Consultants, has been responsible for the successful completion of many projects in the industrial Cape Breton area, some of which are as follows:
